Play to Win: BlaineTurner Advertising Sponsors 7th Annual UHC Pro-Am Golf Tournament, Donates $40,000

BlaineTurner Advertising (BTA), a leading full-service marketing and public relations agency, proudly returned as the title sponsor for the highly anticipated 7th annual UHC Pro-Am Golf Tournament. The event was hosted by WVU Medicine United Hospital Center (UHC) and United Health Foundation (UHF) on Monday, September 22, at the Bridgeport Country Club in Bridgeport, WV.

The UHC Pro-Am Golf Tournament has raised money for vital programs and projects at UHC. This year, proceeds will benefit UHC’s Greatest Needs Fund, empowering UHC to deliver exceptional, high-quality care that meets the needs of its healthcare teams and patients. The proceeds will also go toward offering low-dose CT scans for lung cancer to uninsured women. The scans promote early detection and expand access to care for those who need it most across the state.

BTA’s generous $40,000 donation this year brings the agency’s total contributions to an impressive $230,000. Supporting healthcare is a cause near to our agency, because we believe that when people are well, communities thrive. This tournament has become a vital part of that effort—bringing people together, raising critical funds, and strengthening the support systems our community depends on.

In UHC, we’ve found a true partner in this mission, as their work to improve lives and eliminate disparities reflects our shared values. At BTA, having a play-to-win mentality means giving our all—on the course, in our work, and in our personal lives. This tournament is no different. As always, we take our role in corporate responsibility seriously, recognizing the impact it can have on our community and beyond.

“Playing to win is about giving it your all, and this tournament reflects that spirit. What makes it even more meaningful is that every effort supports UHC’s Greatest Need Fund and women in accessing life-saving screenings,” said Sarah Rogers, BTA president and CEO. “At the heart of this tournament is doing what’s right for our community and the clients we serve, and that is always our biggest win.”

By supporting the Greatest Needs Fund and providing CT scans for uninsured women, donors enable UHC to remain responsive to the community’s needs. Each contribution plays a pivotal role in providing vital support, so patients receive the care they need when they need it most.
