Galen Shaffer
Whether he’s in front of a screen or mentoring a teammate, Galen brings equal parts creativity, technical savvy, and curiosity to the work he does.
After graduating with honors from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, he began his career as a designer and quickly expanded his skill set to include everything from 3D animation and video editing to web development and application design.
As Art Director and Media Specialist at BlaineTurner Advertising, Galen helps guide the agency’s creative direction and digital production capabilities. His role includes staying on top of emerging tools and techniques, and delivering innovative, budget-conscious design solutions that meet client goals. From motion graphics to illustration and web design, Galen’s work blends technical precision with imaginative thinking.
When he’s not in the office, Galen keeps his hands busy with home remodeling projects, woodworking, and playing bass guitar in his church worship band. A lifelong learner, he’s always exploring new tech.

- Deep experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, including illustration, image manipulation, and color correction
- Advanced video production/editing using Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion and FinalCut Pro
- Proficient with AI image creation and AI Art Direction for unique and custom results
