MEET SYDNEY

Sydney Webb, PhD

Syd believes that health information should be as approachable as it is accurate.

With a PhD in communication studies and a background rooted in health literacy, she blends evidence-based insight with creative strategy to help people better understand their care, coverage, and choices. Her work sits at the intersection of storytelling and public health—ensuring that every message has a purpose and every audience feels seen.

As the director of content strategy & research at BlaineTurner Advertising, Syd leads messaging and member engagement efforts for healthcare clients, with a focus on plain-language communication. Her background includes work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she supported national public health communication initiatives grounded in behavioral science. Whether she’s designing multi-platform campaigns, shaping content strategy, or conducting qualitative research she brings clarity, compassion, and intentionality to every phase of the process.

Outside of work, Syd’s calendar is packed with sports practices, school pickups, and family routines. She’s a firm believer in good coffee, a strong to-do list, and content that meets people where they are—especially when they’re juggling real life.
