Taylor Isaly
Strategic Communications Intern

Born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia, I have a deep rooted connection to the state and the community I am a part of. I am currently an honors public relations major with a double minor in marketing and strategic social media at West Virginia University. As an incoming senior, I am heavily involved on campus and am already preparing for my master’s program in Integrated Marketing Communications.

I am a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, where I represented my university at the national conference. The majority of my time is spent at the Reed School of Media, as I am a member of the Martin Hall Agency. This year, I served as a Public Relations Specialist for MHA’s Farm to You campaign in the Eastern Panhandle. I also held the position of Lead Researcher for my client Hope Gas in their Keeping Our Kids in West Virginia campaign. However, I recently concluded a marketing internship with Rebel Athletic, working directly under the Social Media Manager based out of Dallas, Texas. Through this, I was able to travel to New York, Cleveland, and Florida to attend promotional events where I planned and executed social media efforts for four platforms having several hundred thousand followers, as well as receiving knowledge from experts in my field.

The skills I have gained from these experiences have shaped me into the professional I am today, and how I will establish my brand as a strategic communicator. My passion is digital storytelling, and I can implement my abilities into the role of Strategic Communications Intern at BlaineTurner Advertising. I am excited to obtain industry knowledge and enhance my skill set. I am grateful and eager to learn from this experience as well as build relationships through this opportunity.

I am an active member of WVU’s chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, where I serve on the PR and banner committee. I was a four year letterman and all-state tennis player, which has served me well in my pursuit of a professional career. In my personal time, I enjoy yoga, taking pictures, playing tennis, travelling to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
