BlaineTurner Advertising (BTA), a full-service marketing and public relations firm, celebrates 35 years in business.
Rooted in Morgantown, West Virginia, BTA has grown from a one-woman office to a team of 11 full-time strategic thinkers, creative minds, and technical wizards. The agency works hand-in-hand with its clients, specializing in customer engagement, acquisition, and retention through visionary planning and marketing expertise.
An Eye-Opening, Honest Approach to Marketing
CEO and Creative Director Ginna Royce has offered clients an eye-opening, honest approach to marketing since opening BTA’s doors in 1986. While technology and marketing channels have advanced throughout the past 35 years, Royce and the team’s process has remained consistent: research, strategy, then create.
Royce describes the agency’s origin as a “tremendous opportunity that dropped in [her] lap,” noting the pivotal moment many years ago when a local businessman said, “When you get an office and a phone, I’ll be your first client.”
“That one spark of hope turned into the dream of a lifetime,” says Royce.
BlaineTurner Advertising is the product of a true partnership; 18 months after the agency’s launch, Delbert Royce, current CFO and Vice President, came on board. The husband-and-wife team’s dedication grew the agency to its current status, welcoming new team members along the way.
Royce adds, “We’re amazed at the tremendous support we receive from the community, businesses, employees, family, and friends.”
One of BTA’s vital team members is Sarah Rogers, President of BTA. Rogers joined the agency in 2009 as an online marketing specialist. She transitioned to an account manager position in 2012 and was promoted to president in 2019.
“Not only do we enjoy creating impactful and measurable campaigns for our clients,” says Rogers, “We also find joy in giving back to the community that serves as a foundational pillar in our history.”
In the Community
Valuing community service, the agency supports various local initiatives. BTA is the title sponsor for United Hospital Center’s Pro-Am Golf Tournament. In 2020, BTA donated $25,000 to the fundraiser and will exceed its previous contribution in 2021 by donating $35,000 to support the hospital’s forthcoming state-of-the-art Women’s Health Center and the WVU School of Nursing.
BTA has worked to achieve designations such as becoming a Google Partner agency, a Society of Healthcare Strategy & Marketing Development (SHSMD) member, and an Agency Management Institute (AMI) Accredited Agency. These partnerships introduce opportunities for continuing education for the agency, often laying the groundwork for innovative campaign contributions.
Going Above and Beyond
BTA’s commitment to going above and beyond, always overdelivering, continues to please clients and capture the eyes of prestigious award organizations. The agency’s campaigns have garnered more than 71 awards, including international recognition from the Addy, Telly, Communicator, and eHealthcare Leadership Awards, state-wide titles like the PRSA-WV Crystal Award, and acknowledgment from the West Virginia Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
BTA specializes in strategic communications and brand advertising for clients’ online, print, tradeshow, marketing, promotion and broadcast needs. BTA serves a diverse group of clients in healthcare, tourism, and manufacturing.
